Kenneth Spiegel, Chief Operating Officer

Kenneth Spiegel is the wunderkind behind the company’s data-driven management and top-to-bottom growth. But don’t be fooled by his boyish demeanor: he has decades of experience translating innovative technology concepts into real-world software solutions.

Ken originally hails from Brooklyn. He started his software career in upstate New York, founding and leading the firm now known as Retail Dynamics, one of the state’s first value-added resellers of the Great Plains Accounting Series. While there, he saw a missing link in the connection between accounting systems and supermarket inventory – and he personally developed the first Microsoft Windows-based store management system to interface directly with Sharp brand electronic cash registers. From Retail Dynamics, he went on to work for the Covansys Corporation, where he oversaw a team of 60 creating new software products and directed company-wide software quality assurance. He has also served as director of product development for Macola Inc. and as senior business solutions architect for Cap Gemini America.

Now based in Tampa, Ken’s schedule knows no bounds. By day he oversees sales, operations, marketing and current product enhancements here in the United States. By night he supervises a team of consultants designing new software and expanding our song resources from the far corners of the world.

Ken knows how to steer our ship because that’s how he started. He has a BS degree in engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and was a Merchant Marine on U.S. and foreign vessels. He also has a master's degree in International Relations from the State University of New York and has lived and worked in countries including Taiwan, Israel and Brazil. Not surprisingly, he’s driving the next stage of our growth into language learning. TUNEin™ to MANDARIN is already on the market to teach the essential Chinese dialect. Up next: Spanish, Russian, even Arabic!
